Tarn Howes

There are two car parks here, both controlled by the NT, members park free others by pay and display

Hawkeshead Hill ( High cross)

Public car park just of the road

High Head , End of Coniston Water

There is a pay and display car park by the lake

Coniston

There are two main car parks, one pay and display in the centre with public toilets and one down by the lake and the launch. Both are well signed

Thrang Crag Wood

Toward the Torver end of the lake is a car park at the view point, this car park also has a picnic area

Further up from this opposite the Nab is another car park

Crab Haws and Dales Wood

both on the East side of Coniston Water these have good parking and picnic areas

Machel Coppice

Again on the East side

Brantwood

Provides parking for visitors only

Tilberthwaite

there is plenty of free parking by the quarry at Tilberthwaite
